For developers of industrial grade solvents, creating the ideal solvent usually begins with targeting a particular type of customer, such as automakers, hospitals, or even the military. What typically results, though, is a solvent that can benefit a broad variety of customers, despite its range of application usually benefiting the customer target the most. Using military cleaning solvents as an example, there are at least five eco friendly military cleaning solvents that can benefit customers who need industrial grade cleaning power but want solutions that are environmentally preferred or environmentally safe. We list them and describe their qualities below.

Organic Solvents and the Montreal Protocols
After the Montreal protocols, international agreements were drastically altered regarding what types of pollution need to be banned. Specific chemicals and harmful ingredients were discussed as having produced many of the effects of acid rain, polluted oceans, and unhealthy air quality due to smog. Not only are we suffering the consequences of this pollution immediately, Indonesia Manufacturing Industry Statistics but if we continue to use harsh chemicals which deplete the Earth’s beneficial ozone layer, we will contribute even more to global warming and the effects of dangerously high levels of UV rays hitting the Earth. At the present time, solvents and degreasers must both be harmless to our environment as well as complete their intended jobs properly and with ease.
Organic solvents and organic degreasers are now being used to remove dirt particles, oils, grease, and residues left behind in the manufacturing process. Organic degreasers are used during the manufacturing of automobiles, Secondary Industry Definition aircraft, and various mechanical parts. These products are now in high demand since the results of the Montreal protocols which regulate harmful ingredients once standard in solvent and degreasing products.
Solvents and degreasers being monitored and regulated by the government was not a welcome idea by many of those within the manufacturing industry. In order to comply with new regulations, precautions would need to be taken to prevent the use of products which had been used daily for years. However, new organic degreasers and solvents have proved themselves to be a positive change within the industry while helping corporations take a step in the right direction toward green and eco friendly business practices. Organic solvents are able to prevent metals from corroding, when initially most solvents actually promoted the corrosion of metal. Many of these new organic degreasers and eco friendly solvents can also be diluted with water. A diluted product means big savings over time, and less money wasted on shipping, handling and packaging of the products. By using environmentally friendly and non toxic organic degreasers, less effort is required in order to clean up after using them. When companies were using traditional solvents and degreasers, cleaning up the remaining product and disposing of it properly was a very time consuming effort.
In addition to these advantages, the manufacturing plants no longer need to be concerned about the risk of being sued by current or former employers for putting their health at risk. Many known carcinogens were being inhaled by company employees every day while using traditional solvent and degreasing products. There are many considerable long term health risks to take into consideration regarding these dangerous products. Corporations are now finding it more cost effective to purchase non toxic products for employees to use in order to avoid legal issues later on.
Organic solvents are not only highly useful in many applications, but they are also non toxic, biodegradable, and environmentally friendly. The Environmental Protection Agency regulates the term organic, so organic products can be trusted by business owners and consumers. Any additional costs …
Eco Friendly Solvents and Industrial Cleaners and Degreasers in the Workplace
Solvents are needed for use in hundreds of industries across the globe, and as concerns about global warming and pollution rise, we are realizing what effects these traditional solvents have on our planet. The actions taken today by corporations and individuals alike will impact the quality of life for many generations to come. But as industrial cleaners and degreasers are becoming more popular in order to prevent pollution, many business owners wonder if these products are able to hold up to the effectiveness of their predecessors. The bottom line is that organic solvents simply are just as powerful Lean Manufacturing Buzzwords as their more toxic alternatives, and in fact they were once used on a regular basis by many industries in the United States before World War II. During the war, the ingredients needed to produce these non toxic organic degreasers were harder to produce and purchase, making them considerably more expensive. To replace them, noxious and sometimes carcinogenic chemicals were put into new synthetic solvents used to clean up industrial sized messes. The effect this change has had on our environment and climate is alarming, and we are now dealing with the impacts of air and water pollution.
Industrial cleaners and degreasers are being used more often, but in order to protect our environment we need more industrial jobs to be taken care of with organic and non toxic solvents. In 1960, the Federal government passed the Federal Hazardous Substances Labeling Act. This act prevented corporations from having to disclose the use of toxic ingredients in any product unless their detrimental side effects would be noticeable immediately after their use. After the passing of this Act, the free market has reigned over what is considered harmful to humans and the Earth. Many cheap chemicals are included in common household cleaners and industrial solvents alike which can be dangerous for people to use over long periods of time. The Environmental Protection Agency released information which alerted consumers of the fact that fumes produced by common everyday cleaners were three times as likely to contain carcinogens than other forms of air pollution. By using traditional solvents, you are not only risking your health each time you use them, but you are also putting the environment in harm’s way as well. Each time these detrimental solvents are washed down a drain, they collect in water resources which need to be reused by our ecosystem.
The startling discoveries made about our usage of solvents and degreasers and the effects it is ultimately having on our quality of life have certainly changed the way some people run their businesses and clean their homes. In addition to “green” organic solvents being more commonplace on store shelves, eco-friendly cleaning services have begun popping up all across the United States. Porter’S Five Forces Academic The only way to prevent risking the health of your family, coworkers, employees, and yourself is to begin purchasing organic solvents which fully disclose the fact that they are both environmentally and consumer …
