When speaking of an industrial process, what comes to mind is its association to mechanical or chemical procedures. It is important in order to manufacture items in heavy industries. It makes the entire procedure more convenient not only for the manufacturer but for end users as well.
The real purpose of using several industrial processes is to make the actual value of the raw material cheaper. As different raw materials are combined, a commodity is formed. It does not necessarily mean that only one industrial process may be used to form a product. In fact, there are several procedures that may be relevant to come up with the desired output. Here are some of the processes employed in several industries.
General industrial Industrial Engineering Objectives processes
There are actually three general types of processes used in different industries namely liquefaction of gases, freeze drying and scrubber. Liquefaction of gases includes a series of processes in order to transform Industrial Production Index India gas into its liquid form. Such processes are relevant not only for scientific purposes but for commercial endeavors as well. They are often used in hospitals, by dermatologists and inseminators.
Freeze drying on the other hand is more of a dehydration process utilized in order to preserve a perishable commodity or raw material. From the liquid phase to the solid state, the process will then result to gas state. The process is relevant not only in the food industry but also in pharmaceutical and biotechnology as well as technology.
The last general process – known as the scrubber – is important in order to remove pollutants from raw materials. It is otherwise known as a device to control pollution. It is popular in heat recovery techniques.
Other types of industrial processes
When classifying an industrial process into its other types, there are different categories to focus on. These are chemical processes and physical processes. Chemical processes include smelting, disinfection, pyroprocessing and electrolysis. Electrolysis involves gliding, electropolishing, electrofocusing, electrolytic process, electrophoretic deposition, electrotyping and metalizing.
Physical processes are those used in order to reshape an existing material. It includes forging, casting, hydroforming, machining, tumble polishing, soldering, die cutting and precipitation hardening. Molding processes such as sintering, powder metallurgy and sand casting are also found under physical industrial processes.
There are still other forms of an industrial process. The list includes grainer evaporation, bacterial oxidation, crystal bar process, Dow process and Weldon process. There is also the hunter process, industrial rendering, contact process and vacuum metalizing.
